30 Years of Achievement and Growth
The Beginning
1992
After leading Eisenberg Group’s Northeast Office for many years, where he focused on developing, managing, and leasing grocery-anchored shopping centers in Southeast PA, Bob Waters eagerly seized the chance to buy the branch he had directed. This marked the official formation of R.J. Waters & Associates, Inc.
Expanding Reach, Planning for the Future
2005
In 2005, we expanded our operations to Delaware and Virginia, broadening our market presence, while continuing to provide exceptional services for our clients. This expansion allowed us to serve more clients and establish ourselves as a reputable company in multiple states. At the same time, we added the “next generation” of leaders to the company who now oversee the operations of the company today.
Corporate Rebranding, Client Focused
2015
In the subsequent years, R.J. Waters & Associates, Inc. established itself as a highly regarded private developer in the region. We earned a reputation as a trusted partner for third-party owners, demonstrating our expertise across every phase of retail real estate projects and maintaining involvement well beyond construction. As third-party management expanded and construction management and tenant representation services were added, R.J. Waters & Associates, Inc. rebranded to become Waters Retail Group.

2024
Many development projects dating back to the mid-1980s are still under Waters Retail Group’s management today. Approximately half of our property management portfolio consists of shopping centers developed by Waters Retail Group, with the remainder stemming from partnerships with third-party clients, including private owners, family trusts and institutional investors. We continue to expand our Third-Party Services and Property Management and Leasing programs, actively engaging with investors and pursuing new opportunities each year.
